Terms Of Service
Version 2 — effective 4 September 2026
1. What this service is
Generals sells listings on a map. Paying for a territory places your chosen display name, national flag and destination link on that territory until someone outbids you. A listing is advertising space presented as a war game. It is not an investment, a security, a claim to any real-world territory, or a promise of traffic or clicks.
2. Bids, payment and refunds
The price you pay is the price shown at confirmation. Prices are live: they rise as territory is captured, and the premium on a country or the world is set by the game, not negotiated. A bid becomes final when payment completes.
Being outbid is the core mechanic of the game and does not entitle you to a refund. The one automatic refund: if your payment completes but your capture cannot be applied because a rival's bid on the same ground settled first, your payment is refunded in full, automatically, to the original payment method. Dodo usually returns it within five to ten business days depending on your bank.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as the merchant of record. Dodo is the seller on your receipt and on your card statement, and they calculate and remit any sales tax or VAT due where you are. The price shown at confirmation is the total you pay; tax, where it applies, is already inside it. We never see or store your card details. Disputing a charge because you were later outbid is a chargeback we will contest with these terms.
3. Your listing, and what is public
A bid captures three things: a display name, the nation whose flag flies for you, and a destination link. We verify the destination actually loads, and we read its public title, description and icon from the page's own tags to build your listing — you control those by editing your page. All of it is public: it is shown on the map, in the territory panel, on the command board, in battle reports, and on the share image made after a capture. Click counts on your territory are public too.
4. What is not allowed
You must have the right to use the name and link you submit. We refuse link shorteners, chat or invite links, adult content and destinations that do not load. We do not allow content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, obscene, deceptive, that impersonates a person or organisation, that infringes someone's rights, or that we otherwise judge unfit for a public map of real countries — at our sole discretion.
We may redact a listing that breaks these rules — blanking its name, link and listing text on every public surface — or remove it entirely, immediately and without refund. The purchase record may remain, but nothing of a redacted listing is shown. The destination of your link is yours, not ours; we are not responsible for what visitors find there.
5. Fair use
Play the game as a person. Automated bidding, scraping, bulk requests and any interference with payments, ownership records or other commanders' listings are prohibited; we rate-limit and may block traffic that looks automated. You must be of legal age to enter a contract where you live and be authorised to use the payment method you deploy.
6. Your data
No account or password is required to bid. A small cookie ties your browser to your own listings so a returning commander can see their history; clearing it simply forgets that link. The public information described in section 3 is the only personal information the service shows. Card details go to Dodo Payments and never touch us. We do not sell your data.
7. The service
Provided as-is, without warranty. We may change prices, premiums, rules or availability at any time. Our total liability for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the version and date above change when we do, and continued use after a change is acceptance. Questions, refund enquiries, abuse reports and takedown requests go to shermamatovm@gmail.com.
